It's a very slow process to end a war. Tonite, three generals took Warner's "chink" and spun it into nothing. According to them, Warner's right.......Iraq has been drifting sideways for a while but with just the right tweaking, it can start moving forward again. There was no talk of civil war; no talk of an insurgency or sectarian violence. You simply have to move bulldozers into Sadr City, level most of the buildings, and then slowly clean up the insurgency. Its called urban renewal. Its what the white man did with the blacks in the 1960s and to the Indians, 100 years earlier. There is only one word these people understand and Warner knows what that word is........its NO! said loudly by a simple majority of the people, and then said repeatedly until they get it. Warner's been getting a lot of heat from his constituents about the war so he has to say something other than "stay the course". These white men are very clever. And as for the Foley case, if one Republican votes for a Dem because of it, the moon will turn blue. In spite of what the media says, Foley has changed nothing. People like Harris and the oh-so-civil Peter Dierks haven't been changed one iota by the Foley case. Foley was a Democrat. He's out of Congress. End of story. Know they enemy! And then act accordingly.
