Here in Palm Beach County road construction is being crimped by SKYROCKETING costs.

Land acquisition and road construction material costs have nearly TRIPLED over the past year according to county commissioners.

Kind of a funny in our so-called "low inflation" economy.

The only thing that is going strong here is the Oakland County Road Commission. They are building and widening roads like mad around here.

UFB. They should come down and look at the shape of the roads around Maple and Orchard Lake. It's so bad that it truly seems like they are roads in a third world country.

I truly don't understand why they keep building office space when there is so much vacant, nearly new, space available. Bizarre.

There's a small condo complex being built by Ivanhoe-Huntley at Maple and Haggerty. Construction started in the spring. It looks about 2/3 complete. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns. I can't imagine who's financing it.
