Back in the days when the polls said 7 out of 10 believed SH was responsible for 9-11, Bush could do no wrong. Now that the truth is coming out...and it takes a while for it to seep into a fence post like you...he's redefining the mission as "adapting to win". Of course he's following the polls. Nobody changed from cut and run. That was the name that the republicans hung on any plan that was not the Bush plan. Hollow rhetoric, which you are still clinging to.
