longnshort....."what point in time/history was Islam Holy?"....

.....""I see nothing holy about islam at this point in time/history."".....

That's what I meant...nothing holy now or in past history. From what I have learned they have always been violent and forced other peoples and nations to submit to islam or face the sword....and of course we in the free world believe in freedom of religion even if it kills us all...look at India as an example... India use to be comprised of pakistan, Bangladeshi and what is left of india now...at least I think they all were one country at some time...that all came to an end when islam and the sword reached their land.... Millions upon millions of innocent people were murdered at the hands os islamic invaders...the peaceful religion. Not only did they murder and invade they also took over Indian places of worship ,,,destroyed them and rebuilt their " holy " moskes on the very same sites. They did the same thing at the dome of the rock in Israel.

And still we have people who today find it necessary to apologize for these barbarians...amazing!

'Un-Islamic' horoscopes illegal
08/10/2006 22:28 - (SA)

Riyadh - Saudi Arabia's powerful Muslim clergy warned on Sunday that the horoscopes that form an increasingly popular part of the kingdom's media output are un-Islamic and against the law.

"Certain newspapers and magazines have adopted the practice of carrying articles on astrology with catchy headlines which trick those who are unaware that astrology, horoscopes and fortune-telling are forbidden," said a statement from the kingdom's Committee of Muslim Scholars.

"Certain satellite television channels have also grown accustomed to broadcasting programmes on astrology and fortune-telling," said the statement carried by Saudi dailies.

"All such practices are forbidden as they are a form of magic ... that claims to see the unseen world."

Oil-rich Saudi Arabia has huge influence over the Arab world's media.

The leading Arabic dailies Al-Hayat and Asharq Al-Awsat are both Saudi-owned and the Dubai-based satellite channel Al-Arabiya is partly Saudi-owned.
