if its the traditional 10% off everything in the store, then 20% etc then the first month or two won't be that great of deals. The books for example at Tower would need to be 20% cheaper off their already discounted prices to match the web. I guess thats the problem with the whole business- until tower gets down to 40% off everything (and I suspect that won't be for a while when everything is picked over) then it isn't really much of a deal, compared to Amazon which has free shipping and no tax.

Tower has 10% off on everything right now. Not enough for me. Marissa says that the discounts will probably increase as time goes on. The scuttle butt is 8 - 10 weeks.

I'll probably head down there at 30% and then hit it at each decrease. The box sets or special packages are the main thing I'll be looking at as they are hard to find and retain value. Few people are willing to shell out for a box set but fanatics love them, especially when they have exclusive songs or CDs.

Possibly some classical. High quality string quartets, quints, etc. Stuff that only snobs buy and never resell.

Avoid "best of."

Possibly some obscurities. Possibly some jazz but that's kind of a known quantity and most everything gets reissued and remastered.

I may look through accessories. Things that get used up, like record cleaning fluid etc. Cases are easy to find at garage sales etc.
