North Korea is on China's side.

Only because it relies on Chinese oil and food to keep the Daffy One from completely collapsing. But the obverse is a "truth" that is falling apart.

Can you imagine the uproar in Olympic '08 if the Chinese get closer to the NKs?

China I suspect has no use for the Daffy One except perhaps as part of ancient history and as a means of keeping a huge influx of refugees from crossing its border. He is, perversely, an embarrassment and an opportunity to upstage the US on the world stage by allowing Chinese solutions to a problem the US cannot solve.
