I have been through this before; this is the short interest for the month ONLY. Not like the big boards that keeps a total position. "The first short interest information for OTC securities will be available on July 26, 2006. Short interest information for prior months will not be available. Each month, on the publication date, Pink Sheets will publish short interest information for each OTC equity stock on pinksheets.com. (This is the imbalance for the month reported) Short positions required to be reported under the rule are those resulting from short sales as the term is defined in SEC Rule 200 of Regulation SHO, with limited exceptions. SEC Rule 200 of Regulation SHO provides, in part, the following: "The term 'short sale' shall mean any sale of a security which the seller does not own or any sale which is consummated by the delivery of a security borrowed by, or for the account of, the seller."
