I remember too vividly the prices of bonds around 1980.

1981-1982 was a good time (when Volcker tightened the screw) to own bonds. Unfortunately I didn’t have any excess money to invest. It was all in my business

Here's 5.51% on a 5 month CD, FDIC insured and 5.76% on a 13 month.
