"What would it look like?"

Good question. I can't imagine it. I liked his analogy to sexual harassment, as I know that is similar to what some people feel about it.

For example: A female has the right to wear provocative clothing without having to worry about comments in public that would cause her to feel uncomfortable or vulnerable with regards to her gender. Or at least if she is made to feel uncomfortable, she can expect the system to support her in putting a stop to it.

Many religious people in America, however, have become closet worshippers when in public, do to the freedom of others to express their disdain for such beliefs, and the discomfort, or overt reactions, that can result. The same may be true about having an Anti-religious belief. It is similar because one's beliefs may be at the core of what defines them as a person. But I don't think the same approach is do-able ... partly because I don't think we did enough with the sexual harassment thing in the first place.

How can you extend religious tolerance to people that elect not to practice religion? We have shifted our entire Western culture to one that embraces agnostic or atheistic behavior to protect the anti religious tolerance of people that choose not to practice religion.

If we are not going to restore the image of God, then we must remove all references to obedience, faith, and free will for people that do not believe in civil obedience. The legal system has replaced itself as God, except that it has absolutely no inspiration or message. People don't follow instruction just for the sake of instruction forever. If the cornerstone of all obedience is the government, then free will is doomed as people eventually reject the organization of society according to the interests of the government.

We let the religious extinction in this country negate the entire existance of God because non christians didn't want their kids to listen to be exposed to Christian stories at school. Now, we are seeing what the first generation of Godless children are capable of now they are all grown up. They are attacking the kids in our own schools armed with rifles and ky jelly to assault their victims. The level of amorality in our culture has reached epic proportions.

If you want some positive examples, then maybe we could reintroduce the God of all great religions - Islam, Hindu, Jewish, & Christian as a educational requirement in our own schools. Let's rewrite the message of God from a secular point of view that does not encourage anything other than the spirit of tolerance & faith, the rejection of violence, and philosophical ideals that encourage obedience and free will.

Here is another idea. Let's introduce yoga as a replacement to gym class. Everyone should be free to talk about creativity and hope on a spiritual level that is devoid of intolerance for other humans. I would love to see the next generation of kids sitting yoga style talking philosophy with an energy drink than hanging out with a cigarette and a cup of coffee talking about their hangover from the rage party the night before. We have the tools to go either way.

The problem with our society is that we are only teaching the bad habits to our kids instead of good habits. Religion, yoga, meditation, and philosophy have been utterly silenced from the aclu free rights movement to remove all structure in our society. The only thing they stand for are the alternative rights of people that have separate agendas. Hey, it's great that they have their own pr group, but what about the rest of the people that are bitter cynics and ultra liberals. Shouldn't we have some positive energy in this country?
