Finally, some researchers find how to predict AMD's stock price:

Stock Market Behavior Predicted by Rat Neurons
by Timothy C. Marzullo, Neuroscience Program, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

- Biomedical Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
We here report for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, rat motor cortex neurons predicting the behavior of the American stock market. We implanted the motor cortex of the brains of rats with silicon electrodes. Using the correlation technique, we monitored the activity of neurons in our rats while simultaneously tracking the activity of stocks in the U.S. stock market.

Much more at the above URL!

From the conclusions, note that further research is needed

We focused on rats in this study, but we would not be surprised if the stock
market was correlated to the behavior of American White House squirrels,
Jamaican fruit bats, Tasmanian devils, and New England codfish.

As an afterthought, if a similar correlation can be shown between stock market earnings and rat neurons, we would finally have some evidence against technicians who claim that earnings don't matter at all <g>.

06Q3 Traditional "End-of-Quarter" EPS Contest Update

epscontest.com

We've got 21 entries with room for SCADS more. Only about 4 and a half days until the entry deadline Tuesday morning at U.S. stock market open.

Still missing entries from lots of regulars, that's both contest regulars and thread regulars. Take a look at the entry form (link below) and you'll see that it'll only take a couple minutes to submit a reasonable entry since all the data you need is right there on the form.

Team iHub still needs at least one more entry to be an official team. C'mon guys - you've got the 1-year cumulative lead in the AMD contest.

We continue to have just 4 folks eligible* for a T-shirt**, so your odds are still incredibly good if you're interested in a quality embroidered AMD Turion T-shirt. Not to mention a chance at an SI or iHub subscription*...

ENTRY FORM: epscontest.com
REVISION FORM: epscontest.com

Regards,

JJ

*Eligibility is determined here: epscontest.com

**We give out 5 a quarter, but only 3 for the End-of-Quarter contest. The other 2 are for the Early and Mid-Quarter contests. See shirt photos and details of the subscription prizes here: epscontest.com
