Great post, Ali. I especially agree with this sentiment:
"Exactly...and much more so after 9/11. What an opportunity to unite the world, only to give way to lost and failed policies...just to hold on to power. It breaks my heart."

I also like the idea of American focusing more on itself and getting rid of the idea that we need to be the world's cops. Let the UN play that role. We have plenty of issues right here at home. The only reason we should get involved in another countries affairs are when we see a direct link to our national security, like Iran and NK.
