Rather than implement the draft as historically known, we should authorize the immediate use of data mining by the FBI and find all of the people who have said they support the troops but not the government and limit the draft lottery to them. They could include all people who proclaim we need 200,000 more troops.

Wahabism and the madrass's would STILL be there if we had just invaded Afghanistan and NOT Iraq, but their rhetoric would certainly be much more muted than it is now.

Even the most Fundamentalist Muslim understood WHY we went into Afghanistan. The Taliban had supported the people that attacked us and we were taking retribution.

When we went into Iraq, it was a different story and it has played into the hands of those Muslims that have always been preaching that the U.S. wants to take control of the Middle East.

Bush has compared our fight in Iraq to the fight we fought in WWII. If he REALLY believes that, then why hasn't HE called for the resumption of the draft? I'm all for it. What we've got now is sort of a "mercenary army" of the Poor and Lesser educated.
