I don't see it as significantly more ironic than other families that all grow up with a yearning to serve mankind. If George had not bee the candidate in 2000 Jeb could well have won. Certainly by 2004 he could have beaten a weakened and ineffective Gore if George had not taken his place in the Whitehouse.

The Limbaughs must have grown in a family dedicated to public service, with a desire to legitimately profit from their service. Contrast this phenomenon with the Kennedy's who lust power for what power can get for them: immunity from prosecution; sexual liaisons with the underage babysitter; movie stars in your bed; the appearance of respect and groveling from other ethically challenged sycophants; etc.
