Since most of what you claim is not true, there is no point in arguing whether it is good for the country or not.

Dang Geode,

You are one harsh mistress. It may shock you that I AGREE that the Republicans have governed poorly. I intended my posts to point out the selfish nature of the Republican leadership. Please, please, please review my recent posts with this in mind.

I pointed out the four strategies that were formulated to enrich certain small groups of individuals and corporation (and I’m not included in that group). Tell me that you understand that! I replied to your highly-recommend post (that was a reply to mine) to say that from a Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rove/Wolfowitz standpoint, they have executed their “script” (a topic that I’ve posted on earlier) to rewrite the dynamic in the ME. They also define words differently than you and I would, I think. This is what I was attempting to point out by taking their side of an argument. This is the Imperial Hubris (Michael Scheuer’s book) that I have written about in the past. If you don’t believe this post, please check back on my earlier posts to this board.

Your post regarding the farm subsidy also missed the basic angle that I took with the reply: To Republicans, “welfare” only refers to money that goes to the poorest or neediest Americans, and it does not refer to tax cuts or expanded deductions that go to wealthy individuals. When farm subsidies went to small farms, that was “welfare,” but the money going to agribusiness is not – IN THEIR VIEW. Crickey, I am not a Republican, and it seems extremely unlikely that I’ll turn red any time in the near future! I’ve been a DEMOCRAT from the time I could reason. Dang, dang & dang girl!

WAKE THE HELL UP. It IS happening here. Thank you for playing.

This petulance does not become you, but I now understand the origin of your issues with Maurice Winn, et al.

TIA for reading with comprehension. This better not get me fired!
