Name one exception; two if you can? Timeless stuff. Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Ralph Stanley. Most music now days is designed for immediate appeal, flashy stuff. Bluegrass roots of country are less entertainment and more art. All music fits on these spectrums of art and entertainment. Some music is all entertainment and no art. Some music is all art and no entertainment. The best music is all entertainment and all art. Art music tends to appreciate because it's misunderstood at first so it doesn't sell well but fans realize it has more substance and lasting power so they never resell it.
