Maybe it is because if we slowly hacked their heads off in SERE school, none would be around to protect us for the people E.T. want to ally with.

People say what you want them to say when tortured. To use that information as evidence against someone and then not let the accused know you are using so-called evidence against them is what makes a show trial. You might be familiar with them if you've studied history of the Soviet Union. I don't believe in torture. I believe it is wrong. I know there's a lot of christians on this thread. Where in the Bible does it condone torture? Just because your enemy does evil, does not justify evil as response.
