Well I was married in 1969, and I think it was 2 years later that I first heard the word vagina, in my wifes doctors office. Frankly except for a recycled WWII training movie meant for the troops (sex Education) we used slang because that is all the terminology we had for such things. I still remember the horrors of that black and white movie telling us of all the Horrors of sexually transmitted diseases and the idea that there were these very strange women waiting on every corner to seduce us and give us horrible diseases. I lived in a very small town. It had a main street with 5 sets of corners. and very short blocks. As we went to boy scouts we were surely manic looking for these evil foreign ladies who were going to seduce us. Someone might have told us that a sweaty 12 year old with 50 cents allowance wasn't a big turn on for those ladies of the evening. I turned 13 just after seeing the movie BTW, not much chance in the 1960's of anything more than a very fuzzy fantasy.
