Your tendency to be nuanced is why I found your comments somewhat surprising. I didn't originate the discussion or the word. It came from a news article. Had I started the discussion, I would have expressed my own nuanced self in my own nuanced way and would not have used that word. When I enter a discussion where the words are already on the table, I make do with them. Contrary to the opinion of some <g>, I don't make an issue over words if I can avoid it. To the best of my knowledge, most people outside the realm of serious Christianists consider evangelical, fundamentalist, and Christian right to be synonymous. That is the case, I think, with most reporters. I just went with the flow. Sorry it caused confusion.
