What an amazing statement. I am sure he has no idea just how amazing it is. But that is the power of rationalization. This political season has turned into the tawdriest ever. I remember the Profumo scandal which involved a British call girl and a high ranking type. Good movie got made of it recently. Seemed extremely sleazy then. Now, it wouldn't raise an eyebrow. A simple call girl scandal might even elicit a sigh of relief, cries of "Thank God, no nuns, goats, and whips involved!"
