I admit I like reading him as well, but I have followed the posts (on and off) over that time and unfortunately, he was a very poor predictor of how things turned out. Even after his return from Iraq he was still kind of upbeat about how things might turn out. He does seem to have cooled more recently. Look at Bilow, or Ed, or some of my own early posts for views that turned out more accurate. I liked Mike's post also BTW.

BTW, one of my very early posts on this thread was about how Iraq is likely to split into 3 regions rather a single prosperous beacon of democracy. That seems still the likely outcome. What a crock! Hawk, the most underpaid mercenary ever in Iraq, keeps insisting that the chimp Nero invaded Iraq with the sanction of the UN! Despite it being pointed out to him repeatedly that Kofi Annan called the invasion "illegal"!
