Jobs has gotten quite good at both, and I think Ive probably has probably picked up the same skills.

Another good name. That's the strength and weakness of Apple's management. They're all excellent in their roles, but it's hard to imagine them transcending that role. Great engineers often make poor managers. Great sales people, great finance guys, great designers don't easily transform themselves into great leaders. The balance achieved by Jobs between these needs is something that other CEO's at Apple and elsewhere have had trouble in the past. That's something that will need to be examined closely in the choice for Jobs replacement.
