A national ad campaign was supposed to start in late Sept. on ABC-TV and ESPN. I haven't seen any of the ads, but then I don't watch either of those stations much.

Syntax-Brillian Corp. (BRLC) raised its first-quarter revenue guidance, due to higher-than-expected unit volumes.
The Tempe, Ariz., HDTV manufacturer said it now expects revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 will be above the high end of the $65 million to $75 million range it forecast in August. Sales will be above the expected range of 120,000 to 135,000 units, the company said.
Syntax-Brillian also said it expects gross margins will be within the 15% to 17% range it forecast earlier.
Syntax-Brillian shares were recently up 23 cents, or 3.9%, at $6.15 in pre-market trading.

Did you see the feature CNBC did on BRLC just before market close today? They called it "one of the top 10 LCD TV manufacturers in the world" and said that the company is rolling out a new ad campaign on ESPN, and will be selling TVs at CompUSA, Best Buy, and a lot of other "tech" stores. Their Olevia TVs are the No. 1 LCD TV set in Hong Kong now, and also one of the leading sets in China. They mentioned the 2008 Olympics in China as a strong incentive to buy a HD TV. Also, an analyst said the stock at current prices is "cheap". It is the only TV manufacturer that is a dedicated HDTV producer.
