I felt the same way. I was not happy to see Al Gore, the closest thing to an environmentalist, lose his Presidential bid in 2000. However, I thought Bush would be a pragmatic moderate. He's been anything but. Environmentalists made a big mistake supporting Nader over Gore in 2000. Bush has literally destroyed decades of environmentalist progress. On everything from social policy to foreign policy Bush has been a hard rightwinger, and now he's destroyed our Constitution. I never thought things would get this bad under Bush.

My first impression of him, I think during the debate in NC with McCain, was that he was even slimier than his (former CIA director) old man. I'll stand by that.
