I believe Clarke testified he didn't remember who he contacted or was contacted by re. the Saudi students. It doesn't matter as nothing was done wrong in regard to the Saudi students - see the 911 Commission staff stmt 10:

9-11commission.gov

Click on Threats and Responses in 2001 under 10th Public Hearing. The Saudi high school and college student issue is discussed toward the bottom of the pdf on page 12.

BTW if you page all the way to the bottom you will see the "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US" document that Bush critics claim should have allowed the Bush administration to prevent the 911 attack. As you can see the info dates back to the late 90's and is pretty general.

Bandar was the fiorst person Bush met with after 9-11, the Saudi ambassador. That's the guy he listened to, not Richard Clarke or anyone else.

Huh, we know he flew from Florida to Nebraska. One would presume he met with govt and military officials. It is ridiculous for you to say he met with Bandar immediately after 911.

Later, not under oath, Clrke took responsibility for the non-interogations of Saudis, but he never recanted his testimony under oath.

Staff Stmt 10 page 12 indicates the FBI was okay with allowing the Saudi students to leave. Some were questioned, some in detail. No one of interest to the FBI was allowed to leave.
