That guy must be a genius.

LOL!! He sure would be.. That is.. if it weren't for all of those other hundreds of "blown calls" he has made.

I just love the hypocrisy of these statements.

Mr. Ray goes on and on about SIRI's CPGA costs being higher than XM's. But, when XM CPGA costs were high.. He claimed that the costs should not be associated with actual subscriber acquisition, but more so.. With BRAND BUILDING!!

However, I would be quick to point out that substantial portions of those costs from the ad campaign a year ago went into NOT acquiring subs, but in establishing a brand -- which worked, in that today satellite radio is often referred to simply as "XM Radio" and almost nobody has heard of Sirius.

Now that SIRI's CPGA costs are higher than XM's.. (because they are retail heavy), it appears that Mr. Ray is not about to translate any of SIRI's CPGA costs to BRAND BUILDING. LOL!! After all... No one refers to Satellite Radio as "XM Radio"
anymore, and everyone has heard of Sirius that knows about SDARS.

XM has established itself as THE brand (not merely "A" brand). That didn't happen for free.

Oh! How times have changed. By the last 4 quarters net adds, it appears there is a new sheriff in town, while the competition has sky high CHURN metrics and defections from the BOD over at XM. Did this happen for FREE??

Precisely. That's what makes it attractive. But it gets much better. As we get into '05, '06, and beyond, the cash this business generates is, frankly, unbelievable.

LOL!! So unbelievable in fact.. That they can't even reach CFBE.

Some Genius?? Still looks like a Popsicle Stand to me.

And so it goes,
