You need to realize that we will be adding more and more Ethanol (which will be produced here) to our fuels. I heard Paul Harvey say, not 2 weeks ago, we will be driving Hydrogen fueled cars in the next 5 or 6 years. If that's the case, we won't be buying oil from outside at all.

An aside here, I have to say I doubt this story, but alternative fuels are definitely in the pipeline. I sure wouldn't rush into this expensive hybrid idea.
