I got a kick out of the reporting on this airplane accident. When it first happened, the newsies were working themselves into a lather about how terrible it was that private airplanes could fly over Manhatten without "approved" flight plans, and hinting at pilot incompetence. When the word came out that Lidel owned, and may have been at the controls of the airplane, their whole tenor changed to what a terrible tragedy it was.

I also wonder what would have been the theme if this had happened in, say, Topeka. Wonder if it would have even made mention in the crawler.
