Ann...I'd be VERY sympathetic to your argument if I hadn't seen how the Republicans sent out Starr as their "pitbull" to dog the Clinton Administration from the getgo.

The Clinton stuff was petty compared to the stuff Bush has been pulling and I think in THIS case we should probably take a good look at EVERYTHING.

If the Dems get control of the House then there WON'T be any legislation going on anyway, so we might as well get a FULL discussion of everything.

I'd rather spend my tax dollars figuring out the reasons we go to war and get our kids killed than on how stains get on a dress.

You think corrupt criminal politicians should get off without being investigated and held accountable for their crimes?

of course you do, so long as the criminals are Republicans.

Which makes you a lying sack of rancid chicken guts.

Now, who in the world believes Denny Hastert didn't find out about Foley's crimes until a few weeks ago? Anyone in the country believe that BS? So what's he still doing in office?

Dems just dumped Jefferson down the abyss. The GOP needs to dump all the Abramoff, Delay, Cunningham, Foleygate perps down the abyss too. All of them. No exceptions.

If Bush and Cheney are found guilty of outing Plame, lying about intel and breaking Constitutional laws, they must be ousted and punished. If Rove and his people are found guilty of election fraud they too have to go down. If they did the crime, they have to do the time. All of them.

The rightwing spent 80 million and 2 years on Whitewater which was a big nothing. Actually it was a tiny deal from the S+L debacle era. The whole investigation was a rightwing scam and sham. Two years of investigations found they'd done nothing wrong. But Starr continued investigating every inch of their lives since they were born. Still no evidence of anything wrong was found. So then Starr decided to investigate the President's sex life, which was probably the real purpose all along. And finally he found something which never should have been investigated in the first place.

How wrong was that? Especially since sex between consenting adults is totally legal?

Shall we next investigate Bush's sex life and put Tammi Phillips on the stand, then put Bush under oath about it? That's what the rightwing would do. How about Bush's cocaine use? Insider trading? Going AWOl from the Guard? How about all Cheney's crooked deals with Halliburton? On and on.
