Yes, 5M is correct for desktop+notebook, which is consistent with 4M for desktop alone. But that is exactly what I said in my original post.

Now, at 32:16 of that same Otellini presentation he says Intel shipped 1 million Xeons. That's 50% of Intel's 2X socket volume and 40% of the entire dual socket market. Isn't that a huge chunk of the market grabbed by a new product which nobody thought Intel could product in volume? Here's where it gets a little ambiguous. Gelsinger at 9:34 says Intel shipped 1 million Bensley(which are dual socket) platforms. So is it 1 million Xeons or 2 million? However you figure it, it's somewhere between 6 million and 7 million C2Ds produced in 60 days. That was my claim and that's how it was derived.
