That was informative....and by someone who knows their carrada!!

You make much sense!!

Facts need to be accumulated and we all need to listen to the official report by the NTSB and FAA. The media has exploited this incident as they do many, so much speculation is rampant.

I know many pilots............some are good but I wouldn't go up in a plane with others.

I truly doubt any suicide was involved. And, I doubt any star struck BS was i nvolved with a baseball player or anyone else.

Safety is safety and no star would alter my need to do things correctly when my life was at stake...............can't imagine anyone would do otherwise.

Hell,my niece's husband gave an Atlanta pitcher a ticket for dangerous driving after an extra inning game where he pitched. The guy needed to be taken off the road!!!! I think it was Smoltz. He is a cop in Cobb County Ga. He is one mean MF'er!! LOL

I worked for a DVM who got his Instrument license while I was working for him so we had many conversations about it as we were good friends and co-conspirators over many projects.

He shared many experiences with me about the process.

He owned a plane with 5 other guys and two of them crashed ans were killed in Truckee Ca in the plane. They hit a tree landing at an airport at around 5600ft elevation.

On a lighter note...........

A good looking man walked into an agent's office in Hollywood and said "I want to be a movie star."

Tall, handsome and with experience on Broadway, he had the right credentials.

The agent asked, "What's your name?"

The guy said, "My name is Penis van Lesbian."

The agent said, "Sir, I hate to tell you, but in order to get into Hollywood, you are going to have to change your name."

"I will NOT change my name! The van Lesbian name is centuries old, I will not disrespect my grandfather by changing my name. Not ever."

The agent said, "Sir, I have worked in Hollywood for years... you will NEVER go far in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian! I'm telling you, you will HAVE TO change your name or I will not be able to represent you."

"So be it! I guess we will not do business together" the guy said and he left the agent's office.

FIVE YEARS LATER..... The agent opens an envelope sent to his office. Inside the envelope is a letter and a check for 50,000. The agent is awe-struck, who would possibly send him $50,000?

He reads the letter enclosed....

"Dear Sir, Five years ago, I came into your office wanting to become an actor in Hollywood , you told me I needed to change my name. Determined to make it with my God-given birth name, I refused. You told me I would never make it in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian. After I left your office, I thought about what you said. I decided you were right. I had to change my name. I had too much pride to return to your office, so I signed with another agent. I would never have made it without changing my name, so the enclosed check is a token of my appreciation.

Thank you for your advice.

Sincerely,

Dick van Dyke

What might have happened was that the plane had to turn around to avoid Lagraudia Airport in the face of brisk winds blowing back towards Manhattan and they were simply blown into the Manhattan skyline and could not regain control enough to avoid a building. Eyewitnesses said the plane was banking hard before it crashed.

wrt the starstruck comment, that's absolutely NOT my call - got that one from my bf, who happens to be commercial pilot, who also told me last night that a flight instructor was aboard, which has been confirmed today. Just because my ex is a Fedex pilot and I'm engaged to one now WTFDIK - nothing, which is why I asked the professional pilot for HIS opinion, what he knew about it. He got an obviously limited concensus in MO yesterday from other pilots, who may be equally deluded, since you're the authority. I do not know. but that's the pilot buzz, and absolutely NOT my "ignorant layperson" conjecture.
