Who's baffled by the Iraqis? Not me. I expected this.

<<baffled by the Whacky Iraqis>>

So you also believed that we would be greeted with flowers and candy? There's 3,000 years of history to fall back upon to display the behaviour patterns of those "whacky" Mesopotamians.

You come across as extremely condescending FWIW.

MON.

The "Whacky Iraqis" were completely predictable to anyone who had any knowledge of Iraq, which makes them not quite so whacky, imo. Many people predicted Iraq would turn out just as it has. Nothing baffling in Iraq- just history and human nature at work. Many many people saw it coming; obviously not Mr. Bush, but that says more about his ignorance than anything about Iraq or Iraqis.
