Is it still torture if some people do it voluntarily? I think we are just too lenient in exposing them to the treatment our own troops have chosen. I hear where these guys come from suicide bombing is a common practice. Perhaps we should apply their standards by attaching small explosives to their sides and blow them off, if only a little...is it still torture if we have good reasons for it...like perhaps if there are gitmo residents with poor heart condition, can we perform an open heart surgery without anesthesia? After all, no where on the document does it say we are obligated to provide the best health care...or how about we free their souls from eternal damnation by burning them at the stake? It will be for their own good...
