We put in 500K soldiers and we would get Vietnam like casualties. And no improvement in results. Hopefully saner heads prevail or we will be there for another 5-7 years.

And is anyone arguing, outside the White House, that things are getting better in Iraq because of our human "investment"? We're at that point where just about everybody realizes Iraq is a dead end, yet no one has the courage to call it quits, to "lose the war". McCain is making an argument that we should increase substantially our troop levels. If he had not been through vietnam first hand, this might even be forgivable. I'v said over and over again........McCain is the biggest asshole.......he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. And he loves playing it that way. In fact, he's not far from Lieberman in personality.
