Don't see a single problem with any of that. Best friends should be family, seems to me. I grew up with about a dozen cousins, all within 20 or 30 minutes of each other. We were, and still are, close.

An aunt and uncle ran a large funeral home. A couple times a year my aunt would borrow one of the mortuary's huge Cadillac limos, load all the kids up in the car and take us to one of the local amusement parks for a picnic and all the rides. We also did this for trips to the zoo. It was totally great.

Now, the cousins that are still in town (and alive), get together at least once a year for lunch and laughs. I'm thrilled to have friends from both school and family. It's a blessing!
