Whoever said that our souls wouldn't die? When God's lifegiving spirit goes back to Him at our death and our dust returns to the ground, we cease. It takes the combination of God's spirit(nephesh) and the dust of the ground in order for man to become a living soul (see Genesis 2:7). At death, the spirit returns to God who gave it. (Eccl. 12:7)

Of course we die, otherwise there would be no need of a resurrection day. Christ only hath immortality(1 Tim 6:16).

Simplicity on this: All death, including the second death, are temporary. Is the second death an enemy? Of course it is. And make no mistake, CHRIST WILL DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES, WHICH OF COURSE INCLUDES: THE SECOND DEATH! If you could understand that at the end of the ages, the second death is the only death in operation. It is at that time that Christ is said to abolish death. Since the first death is already gone at that time, it has to be the second death that is the last enemy.

All enemies (including death) will be done away with. By Christ.

It can't get any simpler than that.

The reason I used an analogy is because you have maintained Paul said what he did not say.

I have simply quoted Paul. Show me where I've misquoted him. If you feel the need to twist Paul's words and change them to analogies and allegories, go right ahead. Paul said Christ would vivify and justify all. I've shown you where till I'm blue in the face.

Paul said all will be saved. Deal with it.

The gospel according to This_is_the_end.

Jesus Christ will never defeat the last enemy, DEATH. I guess it is too strong for Christ to abolish. Paul was wrong when he claimed Christ would perfect the universe by defeating ALL enemies. After all, if the sun shines all the time, why can't all see it all the time.

I get it now. All only means all if you agree with it. Such simplicity.

Pardon my simplistic ways, I've been reading the bible just as it was originally written, without any hidden meanings.

Death is eternal afterall. What a dunce I am for believing Christ would abolish it!
