The current rightwing GOP is our most corrupt government in modern times, maybe in our history. Reid may not be squaeky clean but he's still a molehill next to a mountain of Bushie corruption. for instance, how much profit did Bill Frist bank using his own Medicare corporate welfare bill to boost his family's HMO stock holdings? Many millions. And what about Cheney and Halliburton. Bush, Rove and Enron? Cunningham? Abramoff? Delay? Ney? Hastert? Oh God, the list keeps going and going.

In fact I dare you to find one major rightwing leader who is not corrupt. Try it. I dare you. Even Condi Rice took a big payoff from Chevron.

Also: Reid will not be the Dem leader in the senate no matter what. He's served his term. Another better leader will soon be chosen, probably as majority leader. Or else the senate will be tied 50-50.
