From a speech, the link to which I had posted some where else on SI .. ---- Following quote is from the first hereditary Imam of the Shi'a community Hazrat Ali. Shi'a divided from the Sunni after the death of the Prophet Muhammad. Hazrat Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet, was, in Shi'a belief, named by the Prophet to be the Legitimate Authority for the interpretation of the faith. For the Shi'a today, all over the world, he is regarded as the first Imam. “No belief is like modesty and patience, no attainment is like humility, no honour is like knowledge, no power is like forbearance, and no support is more reliable than consultation.” ------ If any one care to read the speech I will post the link otherwise I don't want to be drawn into this discussion any ways.. :o)
