I've never been able to find a full set of raw data for German stock prices for that period along with a decent currency conversion series.

I'm not certain that it would show what you think, considering the hyperinflation. Here's a chart from j-bradford-delong.net which shows a view and attempt at an inflation corrected series



Here's a fairly complete data series of copper, in log format. for what its worth.
