Wish I was there to see the Air Force Jets fly over the AF Memorial on Saturday. On TV is the closest we can get this year.

Regarding the "Big Boys" doing fancy stuff in residential neighborhoods.....The Blue Angels come out every year, and most people who live in Seattle LOVE them....they really have plenty of restrictions and how high they have to be over residential neighborhoods....

We love them ourselves, and every summer, it's like a neighborhood party....we all come out of our houses, put our eyes, shaded by our hands, to the sky, and do all sorts of oooohing and awwweing....

Yeah. Lotsa folks expect to see jet fighters. They were a big comfort on 9/11. Whether that is rational or not, and whether they could do anything or not, is another matter.

The jets wouldn't bother me, but the Humvees with 50mm machine guns trained on traffic on the GW Parkway were a little unsettling.
