If it is wrong for Republicans to serve on corporate boards, is it wrong for democrats to? One famous Clintonista is Hamilton Jordan, the token black on many boards of the 1990's including Dow jones. He landed Monica a job at one of his companies after she became damaged goods.

Rice had no corporate or business experience whatsoever. She had no knowledge of the energy or oil business whatsoever. She was being paid off, brought into the Houston boy's club and given major league big oil perks.

GW Bush then chose her as security advisor because she was a loyalist who was black. She didn't know much about security either. She didn't even know what Al Qaida was. She totally ignored terrorism until after 9-11. She wrote a speech to deliver on 9-11 listing the threats that faced out nation at the time. Neither Al Qida nor terrorism were on the list.

Quit covering up for corrupt incompetent yes-men. Or in this case incompetent token yes-women. In six years Rice doesn't have a single success to show for herself. Not even anything minor. Though she is a role model for young black women - that if they kiss rich white butt, lie for them and take Chevron's money they can get a top job even though they're not at all qualified for it, then blow it and let the nation get hit by a huge terrorist attack, then get promoted when the black guy above her is fired for telling the truth.

AS does not understand business. In fact, he failed at it. He is like the drunk at the end of the bar wanting people to listen to his wisdom, yet he has nothing in his pocket to show for it...

David Packard, a very prominent Democrat and one of the co-founders of Hewlett-Packard, was a Chevron director and had a tanker named after him. The last time I looked, Packard didn't have any prior experience in the oil and gas industry.

Wrong! I know from an old friend of mine that worked there, that Packard personally oiled the hinges of their garage doors in Palo Alto ;)
