One thing you need to understand is these people all read my blog and approached me, not the other way around…. I was invited to be on a gold show panel. I will be doing that tomorrow and Saturday in Rolling Meadows.
Again I did not approach them, I was asked…. I have all kinds of people asking me if they can repost my blog or asking for time or whatever. I do a podcast every Wednesday and have no intention of stopping. I was on Air America yesterday morning too (and about once a month or so).

Mish do you see a theme here, like in the cable TV market there is a HUGE need for content to fill up all of those cable channels. Websites and mass mailers have an even larger need for content, which is one of the reasons the Infomercial industry was born, to fill up all of that blank space. So those marketers need a steady flow of content and have people continually searching for new content to fill their ever increasing needs. As long as it is never-ending they want it.

Then you have “Agora” the king of Gloom and Doom content. They have been around for decades and Bill Bonner has even admitted that doom and gloom sells much better than does positive stories. Just like on the evening news, “if it bleeds it leads” The difference now is in the past Agora had somewhat well know professional doom preachers who wrote books which they want to promote, now they use bloggers. Most likely MUCH cheaper.

So when they find a blog writer who loves to hear himself talk and provides the type of content they need BINGO! We want you. Fill our web pages with content but please ensure it is doom in nature, we need to scare them to sell them.

or perhaps you even think that I have become a media whore but I have my reasons for doing what I am doing and I think it will pay off..

Sadly to say it is obvious, and like with alcoholism those with it, deny it.

In the meantime….I have had about 5 people send me a personal thank-you because they did not buy a house at a very bad time in a bubble area because of stuff I wrote. Does that matter or not? I don't know.

Michael those 5 people must have been living in a cave not to know their was a housing bubble. If it took reading your rants to make them see the light then they must also be lifelong subscribers to National Enquirer.

Air America Radio Files for Chapter 11

Air America Radio, a liberal talk and news radio network that features the comedian Al Franken, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a network official told The AP.

The network had denied rumors just a month ago that it would file for bankruptcy. On Friday, Air America spokeswoman Jaime Horn told The Associated Press that the filing became necessary only recently after negotiations with a creditor from the company's early days broke down.

The network will stay on the air while it resolves issues with its creditors, Horn said. In addition to Franken, the network also features shows from liberal talk show host Randi Rhodes and Jerry Springer.

Horn declined to name the creditor with which talks had reached a logjam. The company will operate in the interim with funding from its current investor group.

Air America also said Friday it had named Scott Elberg as its new CEO. Elberg, a former general manager of the radio station WLIB in New York, has been with the network since May of last year.

The filing marked the latest turbulence at the liberal talk radio network, which went on the air two years ago. This April, Danny Goldberg stepped down as CEO and was replaced by an interim chief executive from a management consulting firm.

"Nobody likes filing for bankruptcy," Elberg said in a statement. "However, this move will enable us to concentrate on informing and entertaining our audience during the coming months."
