It's called helping the next quarter a little cause you know you aren't going to move 14 million iPods.

Isn't that a good thing (to help out the next quarter)? Shouldn't they be doing everything the can to help? Is there a real downside?

On the topic of corporate charity, I think it generally helps the corporations more than the charity. Companies have gotten very good at exploiting small to modest contributions to help themselves more than the charity. I don't particularly like the concept, but I think we're stuck with it, and as long as it's a fair win-win proposition, I guess I can live with it. Watch out for those fund raising companies that only give 2% to the charity and pocket the rest as "administrating and fundraising expenses".

BTW, couldn't find info on the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Malaria and TB at charitynavigator.org . Is there a better site to investigate charities where they are evaluated?
