My Grandma was a Catholic, the rest of the family were Orangemen. She had a pretty hard life at first. She joined the Anglican church, and was lucky enough that her church was High Anglican. Her friends were devastated by the change in the Liturgy, and Grandma used to offer to sneak them into the Latin mass at the Anglican Church. For a lot of the older women, the loss of the latin mass was the loss of the comforting sounds of their youth, they accepted that G*d was a mystery, and that he spoke latin.
