LIAR! CLinton was never offered OBL. That was a rightwing fabrication. Bush however did let OBL go at Tora Bora after 9-11 after we knew he was guilty and was our #1 enemy. I heard Sean Hannity try to explain it a few weeks ago. He was taking one sentence Clinton said out of context then speculating and fabricating from that sentence. The myth that Clinton was offered OBL was debunked years ago by all the experts who were in the know. I saw Sandy Berger outright deny it, and he would have ben the one the "offer"would have come to. There might have been an offer, but on a low level, a phonecall to the US Embassy in Yemen, a call which was never taken seriously, and also it was before it was proven OBL did anything. ANy such offere never reached DC. The proof OBL was behind the embassy bombings also wasn't clear until 1998, after which Clinton immediately went to war against AL Qaida, at the same time the rightwing were obsessing about Monica Lewinsky and trying to smear Clinton with more sordid myths about how he was a "rapist", "Murderer", "drug-runner" and "sold secrets to the Chinese", all 100% lies. BTW, the CIA did not prove OBL was behind the USS Cole until Feb 2001 on Bush's watch/ Bush did nothing about it. Bush ignored all the warnings and actually let 9-11 happen, either deliberately or by being asleep at the wheel.
