Well, my point in talking about the danger of Republicans starting to talk a good game on oil independence is that we know they are full of shit. They will talk a good game to fool people into thinking they will actually do something about it. Then the next thing you know they pass another bill like the last Energy Bill that gives $13 billion in tax credits to oil companies for offshore drilling. So that is why I don't want to the Republicans to suddenly get it. I'd rather we get real leaders in place who really plan to move us towards the goal of oil independence in fast and meaningful way.
