I don't think it matters if they do it in Latin. What matters is the ceremony that went with the old high masses, what is called the Latin mass. That's where the awe came from. It would probably work in English. The Latin adds an aura of mystery but I suppose that the singing and chanting could be in English. I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker.

I've been to one mass since the change to English and informality. It was an All Souls mass at a beautiful outdoor cemetery in the desert. They released doves. Big production, relatively speaking, I guess. But it seemed so empty to me. Looked more like amateur night in Oklahoma than something fit for the worship of God. I wasn't remotely inspired by it.

They would be better moving forward if they were serious in finding a more sincere form of worship.

The whole VII thing was to bring the faithful back to their roots, and it did, it brought them back to their pagan roots.
