Why would anyone run an xserver when they can buy and run a linux box for 1/5th the price? This is just too good to pass up: "There is no chance Google is buying youtube. Why would they bother- considering Google and Youtube both announced identical agreements today to play music videos online?" You know some people have something to say and others don't. Those who don't should shut up and listen to those who do. Your track record is zilch. Lizzie, and Allen and others here run circles around your knowledge. If you were smarter you would shut up 99% of the time and maybe ask an intelligent question once in awhile, you might just figure out a way to make some money, instead of badgering people to agree with you for no reason but your egotistical desire to be right.

Also because it takes a whole lot less time to set up an Xserve to do useful things than it does a Linux server, and it's a lot easier to keep the Xserve updated as well. What kind of a 1U rack-mountable Linux system do you really think you can buy for $600, anyway? - Allen
