I have heard those Urban myths and I liked that the author was fair to himself and with his brother in a somewhat humbling fashion.

The myths, if you take them serious, are supposed to piss you off and rally you to your chosen side.

I'll tell you what I liked about it:

Message 22907940

I saw it on another thread, and I liked the article. I thought it made a good point. It's really an article about prejudice, and demonization.

I do not think it is advisable to try to fight demonization with more demonization. So, if you despise what that article describes you must be extra careful when you post things about the right that you get your facts straight, and (imo) "jokes" about people whom you fundamentally disagree with, and perhaps even despise, are never a good idea. They always come off looking petty, bitter and cruel. That's just the way it is, imo. I think "humor", between people diametrically opposed on political issues almost never works, and manners almost always dictate that you steer clear of such treacherous waters.

Hope you don't mind me adding my opinion.
