Well, we wouldn't be doing the starving of those people. Kim Il Jung is doing that.

My sister lived in South Korea for two years doing software for the new Inchon Airport. Her girls wandered about Seoul with just their cell phones, and were never molested a bit. Part of that was because they were black belt Tai Kwan Do, I suppose, but they were very comfortable there.

But my sister says the oriental mindset is such that stuff going wrong is never their fault, they don't know what they want until you don't give it to them.

Also, NK is holding SK - esp. the city of Seoul - as a de facto hostages. Everyone is afraid that if NK bosses see that the end is coming, they may go out with a very Big Bang. Or, short of "going out", they may provoke a war in hopes of consolidating their internal power.
