A soldier fights back
BRIAN BRADY

'I AM a soldier. Speaking up for his army."

Hear! Hear!

The irony is that Blair still wants to go out in a hail of glory. He had just such an opportunity.......after all, he was a terribly charismatic and popular PM.......but he chose to hitch his star to Mr. Bush against the good advise of his cabinet. Hubris has its own rewards. However, I don't think they will be to Mr. Blair's liking.

After this election, the GOP will finally admit the truth about Iraq and agree it's been a FUBAR mistake and big fat lie. But only after the election. Nomatter what, Bush will then become a total lame duck, and there will be real pressure for Cheney and Rumsfeld to take retirement before they are investigated and indicted on what amounts to treason, or whatever you call it when you defraud the public and congress in order to trugger a needless war.
